Either the Plenipotentiary or Salt Comptroller have expressed a sense of the gravity of the proceedings and objected to an official expression of regret for the note of the offer of reparation to the Cruisers, with persons illegally mulcted of money, 12 beaten.
Equally formal censure to the warning Salt Comptroller is the least reasonable in satisfaction to be expected of the Viceroy.
